The "Anderson Era" in Wayzata Public Schools is officially entering its final quarter and he will be passing the torch to his successor Dr. Robb Virgin.

After 18 years as Superintendent - and more than four decades in education - Dr. Chace Anderson is set to retire on June 30th. For families who have moved to Plymouth or Wayzata in the last two decades - including the publisher of this publication, it’s hard to imagine the district without him.

When Dr. Anderson arrived in 2007, the district looked different. Since then, he’s overseen a student population surge from 9,500 to over 13,000. He didn't just manage the growth; he built for it. Meadow Ridge, Northwoods, and the Early Learning School all went up under his watch.

Thank you Dr. Anderson for leading to school districts to new heights and cultivating the culture and ecosystem that continues to nurture thousands of young minds each year!
