Plymouth is planning its next 20 years, and they want your input. The city is hosting Community Visioning Workshops on July 29 and 30 for the 2050 Comprehensive Plan. Here is how you can help shape local land use, housing, and parks.
The City of Plymouth is officially updating its long-range Comprehensive Plan, a critical blueprint that will guide the community's future related to land use, housing, transportation, and parks through the year 2050.
As part of this 18-month planning process, the city is inviting anyone who lives, works, or plays in Plymouth to participate in upcoming Community Visioning Workshops taking place next week on July 29 and July 30, 2026.
Why Your Input Matters
While 2050 might seem far away, the decisions made in this Comprehensive Plan will shape municipal priorities and infrastructure investments for years to come. State law actually requires metropolitan cities to update these comprehensive plans every ten years to ensure communities are prepared for regional growth.
Input gathered from residents during these workshops will help guide the development of the city's long-term vision, planning principles, and future projects before any official recommendations are drafted.

The city is hosting engaging, interactive small-group discussions to identify opportunities, challenges, and ideas for Plymouth's future. No registration or previous participation is required, and you do not need to attend all of the sessions.

How to Participate Online
If you cannot make the in-person workshops next week, you can still have a direct say in the process. The city is encouraging residents and business owners to visit the project website to complete an online survey. You can also use an interactive mapping tool to drop a pin on specific areas of concern or opportunity across the city.
